This is my favorite smoothie for cystic acne. It even keeps me full and good the whole morning.
In fact, I almost always drink it alone for breakfast and I’m A-okay till lunch time, folks!
It uses the power of fruit fiber like apples and orange. I also add spinach coz I love having greens in my smoothies. And ofcourse my green superfood: moringa!
Fruit fiber helps flush toxins and excess wastes like excess sex hormones that cause cystic through bowel movements.
Spinach is skin clearing because its an all-round nutrient-rich food. It has chlorophyll, which clears out toxins from the gut. It is also a rich source of folate and Vitamin K that are skin-loving ingredients.
Moringa has anti-bacterial properties that fight bacteria that causes acne. It also has oil-control and inflammation soothing action.
Okay here’s the recipe for this awesome green smoothie for cystic acne!
What you need
- ½ cup spinach
- 1 red apple
- 1 orange
- 1-inch ginger
- ½ tsp Moringa powder (where to get it)
- ¼ cup water
- High speed blender (where to get it)
- Smoothie jar & straw (where to get it)
Directions
- Thoroughly wash your spinach till dirt-free. Do the same for the apple, orange and piece of ginger.
- Now chop up 1 red orange, remove the peel and chop the orange as well into chunks.
- Scrape the skin off the ginger and slice it up.
- Stuff your blender with ½ cup of spinach, the apple chunks, orange chunks and ginger slices.
- Add ¼ cup water.
- Blend everything till smooth.

- 1 juicy pear
- 1 apple

Directions
- Begin by chopping the crown off a pineapple, next wash it thoroughly then chop it ¼ way from the bottom. Refrigerate the rest for future use. Remove the tough peel then chop it into chunks, enough to fill one cup or 8 oz.
- Next, wash your pear and apples well and chop then into chunks as well. Leave the peels.
- Throw all the fruit chunks into a high-speed blender.
- Now dump in ½ tsp of chlorella powder.
- Lastly, add ¼ cup of water. This is to reduce the thickness of the smoothie. You can add more.
- Blitz everything together till lump-free.
- Pour into your favorite glass and drink up!
3. Anti-Inflammatory Green Smoothie
Last but not least on this list of green smoothies for cystic acne is this inflammatory-fighting green smoothie!
It uses the power of turmeric, which is a golden spice well known for busting inflammation’s butt.
Turmeric also has pain relieving properties which help calm cystic acne pain (and you know you need this because cheek cystic acne pain is another level!).
Now you need black pepper powder because it contains piperine that enables turmeric’s active agent curcumin, to get absorbed into your body. Without it, the body can find it hard to take up turmeric into its system!

- Wash all your fresh produce thoroughly and scrape the skin off of your carrot.

- Now toss them into your high-speed blender.
- Stuff your spinach into your blender too.
- Finally, add your water. I used ¼ cup but you can use more to loosen up the thick consistency.
- Blend everything till it’s nice and smooth.
- Serve immediately!
