Do you have a fibroid or two that is causing you a lot of pain and suffering? Please modify your diet – it will work wonders in helping you shrink your fibroids fast and fending off any others from coming up in the future!
9 Best Foods to Shrink Fibroids Fast
Below is a list of the top 9 foods to shrink fibroids fast. Add them into your regular diets to see a big improvement in symptoms:
1. Green Tea
One of the top foods to shrink fibroids fast is green tea, which is filled with powerful antioxidants! It is great for those who are struggling to lose unwanted weight gain and it also can help shrink your fibroids fast.
This study showed that an antioxidant found in green tea, epigallocatechin gallate, may slow down the growth of fibroids by fighting inflammation and estrogen dominance.
Green tea is also good for regulating irregular periods and reducing heavy flows. So sip up a piping hot cup regularly to see those fibroids shrink like never before!
For those worried about the caffeine content in green tea, don’t worry. This study conducted on nearly 22,000 women concluded that caffeine consumption was unrelated to a higher risk of fibroids.
2. Avocado
Avocado is a creamy superfood that is rich in healthy fats. It also contains good amounts of potassium that keeps your heart healthy and blood pressure normal. Women with fibroids also have high blood pressure. Although more research is needed to discern the link, this may be because high blood pressure and fibroids are worsened by high intake of sodium-rich foods that cause inflammation and an acidic pH in the body.
Eat avocado and other foods rich in potassium such as bananas to fight off inflammation in your body that can aggravate fibroids.
3. Yogurt
Dairy (organic & free range) is one food that helps fight fibroids because it contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorous. It also contains Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin that prevent fibroids development.
This 2010 study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology provides the first epidemiologic evidence of reduced uterine leiomyomata risk associated with dairy consumption.
The research was focused on the dietary intake of more than 22,000 premenopausal black women from the US Black Women’s Health Study over a 10-year period. This is because rates of uterine leiomyomata are 2–3 times higher among black women than white women. The study noted that the dietary factors that differ in prevalence between these populations that could contribute to the disparity include dairy intake.
The participants reported their intake of dairy foods such as milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, as well as nutritional components of dairy including calcium, vitamin D, and butyric acid. The collected data revealed a link between higher dairy consumption and a lowered risk of uterine fibroids. The researchers suggested that calcium and butyric acid (present in milk fat) inhibit the growth of cells that would otherwise form fibroids.
Consume dairy, such as organic free-range whole milk and yogurt to get your source of Vitamin D and essential minerals that fend off fibroid growth and development.
Make sure you avoid factory-processed dairy because it contains excess estrogen that you do not want to add to your already estrogen dominant system that caused fibroids in the first place.
4. Lentils
Lentils are also on the list of foods to shrink fibroids. They are rich in fiber, protein and potassium. They are also an excellent safe food to eat if you have fibroids because they have a low glycemic index.
This means they are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolised that other foods, and also cause a lower and slower rise in blood glucose and therefore insulin levels. The low glycemic impact discourages inflammation associated with fibroid growth.
5. Apples
Crunch on apples because they help shrink fibroids, y’all! Apples contain a flavonoid known as phloretin, that inhibits tumor growth. This chemical compound blocks estrogen production, which is good for preventing further growth of fibroids and new ones from developing.
6. Whole Grains
Ditch refined wheat and go for whole grains when you are suffering with fibroids. Whole grains are first of all rich in fiber that help keep your blood sugar levels, hence insulin levels steady. This is unlike refined wheat that rises your blood sugar and insulin levels rapidly, which is a catalyst for fibroids to develop and grow.
Fiber-rich foods like whole grains also assist in weight loss and balancing hormones, which helps prevent and slow the growth of uterine fibroids. So next time you go grocery shopping, buy whole wheat bread and pasta instead of the white processed versions to fight off fibroids.
7. Oily Fish
Oily fish include salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring, sardines and others. These fish are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin that is good for fighting fibroids. Research shows that Vitamin D can prevent fibroid cells from producing fibrous tissue, including uterine fibroids.
Also ensure you are getting enough sun, especially the gentle early morning sun, because the number one source of Vitamin D is sunshine.
8. Cruciferous Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables such as collard greens, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, radishes and turnips, among others contain indole-3-carbinol. This important compound inhibits the formation of unwanted growths/tumors caused by excess estrogen, which includes fibroids.
9. Organic Eggs
Eggs, especially the orange yolks are rich in Vitamin A, a nutrient that is important for fighting off fibroid growth and development. And not just any source of vitamin A – but that derived from animal sources such as eggs and whole milk.
A certain study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition carried out on 22,583 premenopausal women, found that those who consumed more fruits and Vitamin A found in animal sources (preformed Vitamin A) had a lower risk of developing uterine fibroids.
Always ensure to eat organic free range eggs and avoid factory eggs to avoid the excess hormones that factory chicken are pumped with. Remember this estrogen can add on to your excess estrogen already in your body that is causing fibroids.

It sounds like the hormones and antibiotics in meat, eggs and milk are the culprits here. What do we do if we can’t afford organic?

Try to grow your own food (whatever you can) organically. Lots of videos on YouTube.

dairy is the WORST thing you can have for fibroids.
green tea is bad for fibroids as it has caffeine
this is not good advice AT ALL. won’t be following this at all. you need to check your facts before you post information to help people.
any holistic, functional md will tell you that these things are bad for fibroids

My dear, this article is based on scientific facts.
Firstly, according to this 2016 study and this 2010 study, dairy consumption appears to reduce the risk of fibroids, thus suggesting a role for calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in the pathogenesis of fibroids; both calcium and butyric acid inhibit cell proliferation.
Secondly, this 2004 research conducted on 21, 885 women concluded that caffeine consumption was unrelated to a higher risk of fibroids.
So before you bashed this article, you should have checked your scientific facts first. It’s not about blindly listening to any holistic functional MD and calling it a day. Do YOUR research as well and find the truth.

Bravo Back at it. Love that!!!

Thank you lovely!

Hi, if we are talking about scientific facts may I just highlight that the 2016 study did not study the link between dairy consumption and fibroids but included one statement suggesting this which referenced the 2010 study. Therefore you have only highlighted ONE study and this is also a prospective study which is not the strongest level of evidence. The study also allowed soy milk to be substituted for dairy, data collection was via surveys which are subjective and baseline Vitamin D status was unknown in participants. So a few limitations in addition to it being a prospective study.
Lets not be passively aggressive to others but allow open discussion. This is the best way forward.

well you may take it off but what i said is true and you know it.

What you said is untrue and I know it.
I’m here to help fellow women with fibroids with the right information based on scientific research.
Please refer to the studies linked in the article above.
