How to Remove Heavy Metals from the Body Naturally
1. Eat these Detox Foods
When it comes to removing heavy metals from the body naturally, the foods you consume can play a big part! Certain foods have detoxification properties that help bind to heavy metals and flush them out of the body through our excretory channels.
Some of the powerful detox foods you can consume to remove heavy metals include: chlorella, spirulina, cilantro, pectin-rich foods such as apple, pears & citrus fruits, Sulphur-rich foods such as broccoli, onions & garlic. 2. Filter Your Water
One of the major ways heavy metals get into our systems is through the water we drink! Always filter your water and make sure it’s coming from clean sources. Some of the heavy metals that may be found in water include lead and arsenic.
Get yourself a water filter to help purify your water from heavy metals, toxic chemicals and dirt so that you can enjoy pure, safe, fresh water that hydrates your body without causing harm.
3. Sweat, Sweat, Sweat
Sweating is a natural body process that helps us remove toxins and wastes from our bodies. However, due to our busy and sedentary lifestyles of today, most of us barely sweat it out. Make sure you work out regularly to make your body sweat so it naturally eliminates toxins from the body.
Try treadmill, cardio, jogging, skipping or any other exercise that easily makes you sweat.
4. Consume Fresh Green Juices
Green juices are a great way of getting lots of nutritious veggies into your diet. They contain leafy greens that are rich in the green pigment chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is very important in the detoxification process of the body. It helps remove heavy metals and toxins from our blood stream.
These vibrant fresh green juices are also very alkalizing to our bodies, which helps boost liver function thus enabling the liver to process and eliminate toxins from our system efficiently.
5. Soak in a Clay Bath
Soaking in a relaxing warm bath containing bentonite clay can help detoxify your system! Bentonite clay is known to bind to heavy metals and toxins from the body and remove them through the skin.
Add 1-2 cups of bentonite clay into a warm bath, stir well and relax for 15 minutes. You can also add 1 cup of Epsom salts for an added detoxification effect!

Greens are hard to keep. Can I freeze them and get the same result?
How effective is drying the greens? This is to add greens to stored foods.

Hi Kenneth,
Yes, you can freeze them. Both fresh and dried herbs are effective.

Been reading about drying super foods. I love kale salads but didn’t grow many this year as it would not keep. Someone I follow showed how his family dries and then turns it into a powder. Tried it. Just bought chorella powder from Nuts.com. Will see, I know their price for the poundage is pretty good and they have a wide variety.

Thank you for you comment. I actually buy chlorella powder, spirulina powder, kale powder and spinach powder. It’s very cost-effective in terms of not going bad immediately and it packs a nutritious punch too!
